Mapping Metrics from Toast (Hoopla)

*Note: We are currently beta testing the Toast Integration. If you are interested in being a beta tester, please contact our Support team.

In order to start mapping Toast data into Hoopla, Admins must first add and authorize the Toast integration, and map in users and locations. Please review our articles on Authorizing Toast and Mapping Users & Locations if you have not already done so.

Steps:

  1. In Configure > Integrations > Toast, click on the Mapped Data field to expand the section, the click the “Map data” button.

  2. Define Toast Data: This is where you must select various filter criteria for your data.

    • Operation: choose how to aggregate the data (sum/count or average).

    • Object: select the object to perform the operation on (Sales, Number of orders, etc.)

    • If you don't select any additional filter criteria we will perform the operation on the entire order (as in total number of items in the order or total amount of sales for the order).

    • Location: select a location from the dropdown.

      • We will only display locations that have been mapped into Hoopla.

      • You can only map in metrics for one location at a time.

    • Time Range: choose a time range for us to look at (for example, all orders Today or This Week).

  3. Filter (optional): optionally choose additional criteria by which to filter your data, such as Items or Discounts.

    • If you select Items, you may select any items from any category.

      • If you select multiple Items, we will treat the items listed with the "or" logic. (e.g. Selecting "Cookies" & "Ice Cream" will pull data from all orders that contain at least one of those items).

      • If you Select Discounts, you may select any discounts listed in your Toast account. Selecting multiple discounts will also be treated with the "or" logic mentioned above.

  4. Map defined Toast data into Hoopla metric: This is where you must define where all the mapped data should go.

    • Select a Metric: you may select from an existing metric or create a new metric within the mapping flow.

  5. Click Save.
